These events are run by Rutland Teaching School Alliance in close collaboration with Rutland County Council. We would like to thank them for their support.

This year we are continuing to build upon Catherine Caldwell’s highly successful set of assessment and moderation sessions in line with feedback from schools.

Catherine is an experienced STA approved moderator. She delivers assessment training across the region to an extremely high standard. We have been delighted with the positive evaluations that we have received from previous sessions. She also trains our moderators which will ensure a clear, consistent message across sessions and the County.

Aims

  • To develop and embed the accuracy and confidence of teachers to assess using the New Curriculum and age expected levels of achievement.
  • To develop specialisms in middle leaders across the County to support colleagues.
  • To encourage collaboration across schools. These sessions will also give schools the opportunity to moderate with all schools across the County and so meet their statutory obligation to moderate widely.

Course structure

  • These courses will run in T1, T2, T4 and T5
  • Each session will comprise of half a day for KS1 delegates (9am – 12pm) and half a day for KS2 delegates (1.15pm – 4.15pm).
